Liverpool set to part ways with Belgian star

Simon Mignolet is reportedly seeking a move away from Anfield, as to The Sun is reporting. The Merseysiders, who suffered a 1-0 defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon, have been linked with selling the Belgium international to Borussia Dortmund this summer.

The goalkeeper, who has 21 international caps for his country, has kept seven clean sheets in 22 matches in all competitions for his side so far this season.

Simon Mignolet, who arrived at Anfield back in June 2013 following his reported £9m move from Sunderland, has recorded 66 shutouts in over 200 games overall for the club. However, the report suggests the 30-year-old wants to quit Liverpool this summer, having lost the No.1 jersey to teammate Loris Karius, who has played 30 matches this term.

BVB are on the lookout for a new ‘keeper to compete with Roman Burki, and The Reds could look to pocket £10m for Mignolet’s services if the German club firm up their speculated interest. Liverpool are meanwhile linked with Alisson Becker whose side lost in the semi-finals the Premier League giants and Jurgen Klopp is reported to make a move to sign long-term Loris Karius replacement.
