Liverpool attacker Ryan Kent is close to sealing a second loan move to Rangers.
The 22-year-old winger spent last campaign on loan at Steven Gerrard’s team, who finished second in the Scottish Premiership behind bitter rivals Celtic and earned a place in the Europa League qualifying rounds.
Ryan Kent impressed during his time in the Scottish side, netting six goals and assisting nine more in 43 games for the club.
The youngster’s displays saw him win both Rangers’ and the PFA’s Young Player of the Year award for 2018/19, alerting teams in both the Championship and Premier League about his abilities.
However, Steven Gerrard was willing to keep Ryan Kent at Ibrox for another campaign, and it seems as though he has got his wish with the Gers now confident that the Oldham-born star will be returning to the club.
There had been interesting from elsewhere, with Leeds United and Aston Villa strongly linked in recent days, but the latest developments would suggest the Scottish giants have won the running for his services.
Meanwhile, Simon Mignolet has spent the last 18 months sat on the bench at Merseyside club and is now set for a move away. The Belgium international is understood to have plenty of offers from teams in England as well as abroad, and the Reds will not stand in his way to let him leave.
