Wojciech Szczesny has emerged on Man United’s radar as the club plot changes to the goalkeeping department. David de Gea’s future stays uncertain, while Juventus are considering making a few changes and could stay open to offers for Poland international.
The Bianconeri are considering making significant changes to their playing squad after a few years of regression. The Old Lady remain keen on adding to their squad while letting a few footballers leave the Allianz Stadium for suitable offers.
One of the areas could be the goalkeeping position. The 32-year-old goalkeeper has remained their preferred choice since signing from Arsenal on a permanent deal. The Polish goalkeeper has played 190 games for the Bianconeri, becoming one of their key stars in recent years.
However, at 32, with a deal lasting only 18 months, the Old Lady are exploring the idea of getting a transfer fee from suitors. Hence, they are open to offers from interested sides, as Massimiliano Allegri plots change in that position.
Man United are keeping tabs on other shot-stoppers, including Brighton goalkeeper Robert Sanchez and Porto star Diogo Costa. While those footballers will be expensive, they might look to bring the Polish goalkeeper instead, for the shot-stopper will be relatively cheaper.
The Red Devils could approach the Old Lady next summer, particularly if they cannot resolve the situation with David de Gea. Wojciech has tremendous experience at the top level, and while he will turn 33 in April, there is plenty left in the tank for him.
