According to The Sun, Manchester United are planning a £50m bid for Tottenham Hotspur left-back Danny Rose in January transfer window.
The same sources also suggest that the Red Devils head coach Jose Mourinho wants to sign a permanent left-back after using Daley Blind, Ashley Young and Matteo Darmian in that position this season.
And the 27-year-old Danny Rose, who is also wanted by Chelsea and Manchester City, is the player the Portuguese tactician is targeting to solve his problem position.
The Spurs No.3 has been sidelined since the end of January due to a knee injury and is yet to feature for Tottenham this season.
But the England international is close to making a comeback after returning to training earlier this week. The Sun also suggest that MAn United’s move for Danny Rose will spell the end of Luke Shaw’s time at Old Trafford.
Shaw has played just 45 minutes of first-team football this season after coming on as a half-time substitute against Burton Albion in the Carabao Cup on September 20. United have played three games since then but Shaw hasn’t even made the bench.
