Manchester United were determined to sign Los Blancos midfield star Toni Kroos during the recently closed winter transfer window. The deal shows no signs of succeeding yet, but the Red Devil’s supporters will be delighted to know that the United are expected to attempt signing the German international over the forthcoming summer window.
No need to argue that Kroos is an essential player for the Spanish giants and they will not agree to a sell the 28-year-old midfielder in the first place.
Taking into account the unfortunate season the Spanish club has been having, they wouldn’t mind reconstructing their team at the end of the season which would cause them to sell some of their top players too.
Furthermore, there is indeed no doubt that the Red Devils are in desperate need of a new midfielder. With Michael Carrick set to retire and Marouane Fellaini’s future not entirely certain, the Jose Mourinho will be left with a severe lack of quality midfielders.
The Portuguese manager still has Paul Pogba, Ander Herrera and Nemanja Matic in his squad, but because they will be looking to obtain a top title next season, the Manchester side will need an experienced and an influential midfielder like Toni Kroos.
Therefore, Manchester United must do everything in their power to sign the German international. He is productive, powerful and reads the game considerably well to adapt to the circumstances respectively.
