Manchester City are interested in signing Juventus defender Joao Cancelo and will battle city rivals Manchester United for his services over the summer.
The Portuguese ace only arrived at Juventus from Valencia last summer, for a fee of £35 million, but has impressed in his 33 appearances across all competitions.
The right-back already has vast experience, having started at Benfica and also spending a year at San Siro, alongside his playing time at Valencia and Juventus.
Now both Manchester club are keen on signing him, with the English champions willing to spend £52 million on his signature, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Italian publication reports that Juventus Sporting Director Fabio Paratici may be tempted to sell Joao Cancelo, making a profit of £17 million after just one season.
However, Gazzetta also claims that whatever Old Lady do this summer is based on the future of Paulo Dybala, who they are hoping to cash in on the Argentine star, who was being touted as being worth £130 million when he scored 22 league goals in the 2017-18 season,
But the South American ace dropped to just five in Serie A this campaign and his value has fallen significantly.
If the Turin club can receive a decent amount of money for the forward, then they may be less inclined to sell the 24-year-old Portuguese star, but if Paulo Dybala stays, or does not attract a hefty bid, then banking a big cheque for the defender may become more tempting.
