Man United handed blow in race for £70m-rated forward

Manchester United face competition for long-term target Willian as Real Madrid have made a £100 million bid to sign the Brazilian and Thibaut Courtois, and Chelsea are seriously considering cashing in on the pair.

Jose Mourinho keen for a reunion with the attacker at Old Trafford, however, Los Blancos now appear to be intent on signing him.

And according to the Daily Mail, Chelsea are close to letting the pair move to Santiago Bernabeu. Before Real Madrid, Barcelona were desperately trying to sign the Brazil international but baulked at Chelsea’s £70 million asking price for the versatile winger, but Madrid side are willing to cough up £65m for the 29-year-old as part of their double swoop.

Julen Lopetegui is willing to build his side around Gareth Bale following Cristiano Ronaldo’s exit and views the Blues ace as the perfect foil to the Wales international, who will be given a free role.

Jose Mourinho needs to act quickly as interest in the Chelsea star is growing day by day and the west London giants could sell the attacker if the right offer comes in.
