RB Salzburg have raised the price tag for Benjamin Sesko and will only let him leave in the summer transfer window if a suitor shells out €50m for him. Slovenia international is a target for Real Madrid and Man United. Benjamin has gone from strength to strength since joining the Austrian giants from Domzale nearly three years ago.
Sesko first had to make his way through the Austrian club’s farm club, Liefering before becoming a regular for RB Salzburg last campaign. And the 19-year-old striker has started the 2022/23 campaign strongly. The Slovenian centre-forward has scored twice and provided one assist in three games thus far this campaign.
The Slovenian’s displays have helped him earn comparisons to a certain Erling Haaland, who rose to prominence at RB Salzburg before becoming a hot property in the market. And the former Domzale centre-forward has captured the attention of Real Madrid and Man United, among others.
Benjamin has thus emerged as a viable target for Los Blancos if La Liga giants look to add a young centre-forward before the summer transfer window shuts down. But Real Madrid face stiff competition from the Red Devils in the battle to add Sesko.
Erik ten Hag’s attacking options are running thin following the departure of Cavani. And with Ronaldo facing an uncertain future at Theatre of Dreams, the Dutch manager does not have a recognised centre-forward at his disposal apart from the inconsistent Martial.
