Man United in the battle to sign €25m-rated Premier League striker

Danny Ings is hoping for a big PL club to call for his services. England international is eager to join one of the big Premier League clubs, although there have been no approaches made from either Man United, Man City or any other top-six side for his signature.

Ings was pencilled in to star for one of the big PL clubs when he broke through at Burnley. Liverpool duly signed him, and he was primed to become a top footballer. However, following an injury-blighted period at Anfield, Danny truly shined after joining Southampton in 2018, scoring 41 goals in 91 PL games.

Having entered the final year of his current contract, Ings has refused to sign a new contract offered by the Saints. Had he committed to the new agreement, it would have made him the highest-paid footballer at St.Mary’s. The 28-year-old centre-forward dreams of playing in the UCL and for a club that contends for the PL title.

While his displays for Southampton are worthy of moving to a bigger club, Danny is yet to receive any big offers from those he aspires to join. Tottenham have been linked recently, with Nuno Espirito Santo thinking of pairing Danny alongside Harry Kane in a new-look frontline. Tottenham might be a realistic option if their interest is genuine.

There have been whispers of interest from top teams. Chelsea reportedly looked at him, as there is room in this Blues’ squad since Olivier Giroud joined Milan and Tammy Abraham is out of favour. Likewise, Man City have been thought to consider him as an alternative to Harry Kane.
