Man United keeping tabs with 21-year-old Serie A forward

Man United are considering a raid on Serie A champions Juventus for the possible addition of Dejan Kulusevski in the upcoming transfer window. Sweden international started his footballing education at the academy of Bromma in his homeland, Sweden, before switching to Italian club Atalanta in the summer of 2016.

Kulusevski impressed heavily for the club’s Under-17 side as well as the Primavera club, managing to break into the first-team setup in winter2019. However, Dejan played only three games for La Dea before sealing a loan move to Parma in the summer of 2019.

Having done exceptionally in the first half of the 2019/20 season the 21-year-old winger prompted Bianconeri to sign him up in winter last year before letting him complete the campaign on loan at Parma itself, where he ended the term with a haul of 10 goals and 9 assists from 39 games.

Having arrived at Allianz Stadium in the summer last year, the Swedish winger has found it hard to repeat his exploits with the champions.

Matters have not been helped by the tinkering of positions by coach Andrea Pirlo, who has deployed him as a striker, a winger and even a wing-back on a few occasions. As a result, he has managed a paltry tally of six goals and four assists from 41 matches in all tournaments in 2020/21.

Despite his struggles in Turin, it looks like Dejan’s stock remains quite high, with Red Devils keeping close tabs on the Swedish winger. Man United are in the market for reinforcements in the attacking unit, especially the right-wing, which has been a problem position for the club for a number of years now.
