Arsenal and Liverpool have been given a big boost in their pursuit of Renato Sanches. The Lille footballer feels he is prepared to take the next step in his career and is open to a move away from the French club in the upcoming winter transfer window.
Portugal international has been linked with a move to Arsenal and Liverpool in the past. However, it appears Man United are now also in contention to add Sanches, who has once again emerged as a hot prospect in the market. Formerly of Bayern Munich, Renato was a maligned figure during his stint in Germany.
However, since arriving in Ligue 1 club, the 24-year-old midfielder has enjoyed an exciting redemption, notching up 67 competitive games and notably helping Lille sensationally win the Ligue 1 trophy last campaign.
The Portuguese midfielder has also made an impression with the national team recently, even almost earning himself a move to Barcelona in the summer. Unfortunately, the move collapsed, most likely due to a meniscal injury that kept him out for almost two months.
In addition, Liverpool also failed to secure his services as a result of his fitness issue. However, the former Bayern Munich midfielder is now back from injury, with Liverpool once again in contention to snap him up in the winter transfer window.
Only this time, though, Liverpool are ready to face stiff competition from the Red Devils, who are bracing themselves for the possible departure of Jesse Lingard.
