Napoli’s highly-rated centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly is reportedly ready to snub a move to Liverpool in favour of joining the Norwegian manager at Man United. Kalidou joined Napoli in 2014 after making a £7m switch from Genk. Koulibaly is best known for his physical stature and unwavering defensive capabilities.
During his near seven-year-long spell in Italy, the commanding defender has seen his stock rise after a series of fantastic displays. It has been Senegal international’s continued form that has seen him emerge as a transfer target for some of Europe’s biggest teams, including arch-rivals Liverpool and Man United.

However, that could be ready to change next summer after the Senegalese reportedly prefers a switch to Red Devils over Liverpool. Kalidou is a big fan of Solskjaer and would prefer to ply his trade at Man United.
The report goes on to claim that there is no way Kalidou will be sold this month, however, come to the summer window, in order to secure the defender’s services, a potential suitor will need to cough up a whopping £100m. Kalidou has played in 18 matches in all tournaments for Napoli this campaign, helping to keep seven clean sheets.
Koulibaly is under deal at the Serie A giants until the end of the 2022-23 campaign. But Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis has warned both clubs they must offer at least £100m if they want to sign Kalidou. Red Devils PL rivals Liverpool have also being linked with the African defender.
