Man United started negotiations with 19-year-old Argentine forward

Man United are plotting a summer raid on Colon for the signing of Facundo Farias, who is also on the radars of teams like Roma, Sassuolo and PSG. U20 Argentina international came through the ranks at Colon and made his first-team debut in 2019, aged 17 years and two months.

Farias has since played 64 games for the Argentine club, bagging ten goals and setting up seven more. A versatile footballer, Facundo can play as a centre-forward and on the flanks while he can operate as a playmaker. The 19-year-old attacker has played 12 games in Copa de la Liga in the ongoing campaign, bagging two goals in the process.

Even though his numbers are not exactly prolific, the Argentine playmaker is regarded as one of the most promising young attackers in South America. Indeed, the Argentine’s progress has been noted by a host of Italian clubs like Udinese, Sassuolo and Jose Mourinho’s Roma, while PSG and Porto have also been keeping tabs on the youngster.

Man United have also entered the fray to sign the South American attacker ahead of the summer transfer window. The Red Devils need at least one new forward in the summer transfer window as they will be losing Cavani when his deal runs out.

Martial is unlikely to have a future at Man United once he returns from his loan spell at Sevilla. And with question marks surrounding the future of Ronaldo as well, making at least one new attacking addition is of paramount importance.
