Man United started negotiations with 24-year-old English centre-back

Man United hold an interest in Wolves centre-back Max Kilman who has enjoyed an excellent PL season under Bruno Lage. Man United could be looking at signing a new centre-back, and the English defender could be a part of that plan.

The Ralf Rangnick era at Theatre of Dreams has not had the best starts. Despite only losing once so far since the German manager’s arrival, the Red Devils have produced some subdued performances on the pitch, which have been far from convincing and raised questions about the club’s direction.

The interim coach might consider a few changes in this transfer window to bring in some necessary reinforcements to bolster the squad. The Red Devils are competing for a top-four place now and have seen slip-ups in their quest for the same. They also have an FA Cup and Champions League campaign to look forward to.

Additionally, a few of Man United’s footballers could also depart the club this month. Considering those potential outgoings, Ralf Rangnick might look to bring in new footballers, fill the void left by those leaving, and accommodate specific footballers into his new formation that looks increasingly like a 4-3-3.

Ralf Rangnick is looking for a central midfielder and a defender, in particular. The Red Devils are already linked with Amadou Haidara over a potential move this month, and a transfer will depend on how negotiations progress. Meanwhile, a few defenders could be leaving and will need replacing with quality options.
