PSV ace Hirving Lozano is stalling over a move to Napoli because he would rather join Manchester United – but his representative Mino Raiola is urging him to forget about the Red Devils.
Napoli manager Carlo Ancelotti has made Mexico international his top target this window and the Serie A club are understood to have made an offer worth €45 million (£40m) including bonuses.
Eredivisie giants are happy with the package, but Il Roma reports that Hirving Lozano is holding up the move – much to the annoyance of Mino Raiola.
The agent has been speaking directly to both Carlo Ancelotti and Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis and fears the ‘stubborn’ attacker has his heart set on a move to Manchester United. Although the Premier League giants have only shown a fleeting interest in the South American in the past, he is ready to delay the move to Napoli just in case they come in for him at the last moment.
But Mino Raiola does not believe Manchester United will make an offer and wants his client to forget about joining the Red Devils. Instead, he has told the 23-year-old winger to choose between either Napoli or Paris Saint-Germain, with the French champions making a late approach of their own.
While Napoli have only offered a £2.2m-a-year salary, Ligue 1 giants are ready to offer Hirving Lozano a package worth £3.5m-a-year – and the Italian agent would prefer him to take the bigger deal.
Hirving Lozano scored 17 goals for PSV in the Eredivisie last season and Mino Raiola is keen to push through a transfer quickly this summer.
