Sporting Lisbon playmaker Bruno Fernandes allegedly meets with his agent to discuss a potential summer move to Premier League giants, Man Utd.
Fernandes has been rumoured with a number of Premier League top teams in recent weeks, although it now appears that the Red Devils are the only English contenders to lure him away from Sporting.
Reports have suggested that the North-West outfit are still to meet Sporting’s asking price of the Portugal international, who managed to found back of the net 20 times and provided 13 assists from 33 appearences last campaign.
Nevertheless, according to the Manchester Evening News, Portugal international midfielder has still held discussions with his agent Miguel Pinho after returning from pre-season training.
No move appears to be imminent, though, at a time when United are still contemplating whether to sell Paul Pogba to either Real Madrid or Juventus.
Sporting are believed to be resigned to selling their most prized asset before the transfer window shuts down.
Meanwhile, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer determined for Manchester United to keep Paul Pogba instead of signing Christian Eriksen as his replacement according to the reports.
Pogba has made it clear that he wants to depart from Old Trafford this summer with both Juve and Real Madrid are ready to secure the services of Frenchman.
But the Red Devils are adamant that they want to keep the world-cup winner at Old Trafford, while Solskjaer has already said that he plans to build his team around former Juventus midfielder.
According to the Evening Standard, Christian Eriksen is on the Red Devils shortlist of replacements for the 26-year-old midfielder, however, Solskjaer’s preference is to keep the Frenchman at the squad.
