Real Madrid would be willing to suggest James Rodriguez in exchange for Paul Pogba, reports say.

Pogba was massively linked with a move to Real during the summer and failed to push through a switch to the Bernabeu after publicly revealing he wanted to leave Man United.

The Red Devils stood hard in their £179million asking price and will reportedly stick to the valuation when the winter transfer window opens as Pogba again seeks to leave.

Spanish outlet El Desmarque prove Real remain interested in 26-year-old and club president Florentino Perez is ready to offload Rodriguez.

The Colombia international has tried to live up to his price tag in his five years at Real and his representative Jorge Mendes is keen to move his player on.

Real are prepared to sell Rodriguez and see the midfielder as a possible makeweight in a deal to sign Pogba.

Rodriguez’s exit could come in the winter, although Real have a big task on their hands to convince Manchester United to part ways with Pogba mid-way through a campaign.

While Real weigh up what to make with Rodriguez, Pogba is currently sidelined with an injury.

The Frenchman has been out of work since the end of September with an ongoing ankle problem and is not expected to return from injury until December.
