Denis Suarez’s representative has refused to rule out a move to Napoli in the summer and reveals the midfielder’s spell at Arsenal ‘hasn’t been his best’.
The 25-year-old ace has failed to adapt to the physical demands of the Premier League since joining on loan from Barcelona in the winter window and has been limited to just six substitute appearances for the club.
The Gunners have the option to buy the midfielder outright ahead of the 2019/20 season, but Unai Emery is already exploring other options due to the Spaniard’s struggles.
Denis Suarez has been suffering from a persistent groin injury in recent weeks and the midfielder’s entourage, Felix Guende, believes his client has been unable to build up any momentum during his time in north London.
‘He has two years left at Barcelona. This year in England hasn’t been his best. He’s played little and hasn’t been able to find a rhythm,’ the agent told Radio Kiss Kiss. ‘At the moment, he’s injured. He has muscle fatigue and an injury. ‘We’re awaiting the results from the exams.’
Felix Guende has admitted that denis Suarez is keeping his options open amid interest from Arsenal’s Europa League opponents Napoli. ‘Napoli? The interest is always appreciated, being a team that has been fighting for the top positions for years,’ he added. ‘It’s a bit soon to talk about the transfer window, but we aren’t excluding anything.’
It appeared that Unai Emery has made wrong choice by pursuing the Spanish midfielder in January and he should have gone for more experienced player.
