Milan’s pursuit of Chelsea centre-back Trevoh Chalobah. The Rossoneri were looking to bring in Chelsea centre-back Chalobah during the summer transfer window.
A move failed to materialise, but Chelsea and Milan would discuss transfers following the conclusion of their UCL fixture on Wednesday night. Now, Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the Rossoneri’s pursuit of the Chelsea centre-back.
With the Rossoneri signing a new centre-back recently, it looks unlikely that they will pursue Trevoh at this time. Even if they did, the young defender may opt against joining the club due to the competition they have.
However, the English centre-back isn’t a regular at Stamford Bridge, so he may consider leaving in the near future to pursue first-team football.
“AC Milan signed Malick Thiaw in the summer transfer window so they are no longer looking for a new centre-back in January. Despite rumours, there were no talks about Chalobah between Milan and Chelsea this week,” said FabrizioRomano.
The Englishman has only started one PL match so far this campaign but did come on as a substitute against the Rossoneri in the Champions League after Wesley Fofana suffered an injury.
Trevoh had been a target for Inter during the latter stages of the summer transfer window, with the likes of Milan and RB Leipzig also following the 23-year-old centre-back closely, but in the end, the Blues decided to keep him in their squad.
