Tim Sherwood is believed that Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur will sanction a swap deal involving left-backs Danny Rose and Luke Shaw.
The former Southampton defender is out of favour at Old Trafford under Jose Mourinho and yet to play in the Premier League for the Red Devils, whole Danny Rose has the same situation at Tottenham Hotspur, and 27-year-old defender is strongly linked with a January exit from the Spurs.
This week Shaw suggested that he would be happy to once again work with his former manager Mauricio Pochettino and Sherwood feels that a swap deal involving Rose would be the great news for both Premier League giants.
Former Spurs head-coach Sherwood said Sky Sports: “I think in the left-back area, Blind has been more of a regular. It’s the position where Mourinho is most unsure.
“They might as well do the swap now. Mauricio Pochettino loves Shaw. Mourinho loves Danny [Rose]. Just do the swap now and get it over and done with.”
Shaw has endured much misfortune with injuries in the recent years; however 22-year-old defender can even secure a spot in Jose Mourinho’s starting XI when he is fully fit and move to Spurs could be the best that happened to him in the recent years.
