Real Madrid determined to sign €100m-rated Man United transfer target

Real Madrid are reportedly ready to move ahead of Man United and Chelsea in the Erling Haaland transfer race. The 20-year-old centre-forward is now looking likely to be Los Blancos’ main alternative to PSG forward Kylian Mbappe, who has heavily hinted at signing a new deal with his current club.

This could force La Liga giants to prioritize Erling instead, which could be a big blow to both Red Devils and Chelsea, especially as the Santiago Bernabeu is also thought to be the striker’s preferred next destination. This news is also a blow for Liverpool in their hopes of landing Kylian Mbappe from PSG.

Haaland is one of the most talented teenagers in world football after a prolific spell with Bundesliga giants, and it’s easy to see how he could be the perfect long-term Cristiano Ronaldo replacement for the Spanish club. He would’ve been a great signing for Man United or Chelsea as well, but it looks like he may be heading to La Liga instead.

Real Madrid have still not really managed to deal with Ronaldo’s departure, with signings like Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic flopping in the Spanish capital. Considering the widespread interest in securing his services, the demands made by Norway international make total sense.

He would not want to waste his career by warming the bench and thus suffer the same fate Luka Jovic endured at the club. The Norwegian striker is in a perfect position to demand a high salary, which the Los Blancos will most likely be able to fulfill. Mino Raiola’s commission is steep, although this probably could be negotiated.
