Real Madrid are closely monitoring Man United winger Alejandro Garnacho, who will be out of deal with the PL club in 2023. Born in Madrid, U20 Argentina international spent the early parts of his youth career at Real Madrid’s rivals, Atletico Madrid.
Garnacho was snapped up by the Red Devils in the summer of 2020 and he has made rapid strides through the ranks at the English club. Alejandro has played 31 games for Man United’s Under-18 side, scoring 16 times and assisting eight goals.
The Argentine forward played an integral role in their FA Youth Cup success in the 2021/22 season, even scoring a brace in the final. The Argentine has also broken into the Under-23 setup for Man United, bagging three goals and an assist in 12 games.
Regarded as one of the brightest youngsters to have come through the ranks in recent years, the Red Devils have big plans for the South American forward and are planning to hand him a bigger role in the first team in the upcoming season under new coach Erik ten Hag. But, before that, Man United need to resolve Garnacho’s deal situation.
Garnacho is entering the final year of his current contract with Man United, and his situation has piqued the interest of several teams around Europe. Juventus are already planning a Bosman move for Alejandro in 2023, with Real Madrid now joining the race for the teenager.
