The London giants are amongst the top European sides that are interested in signing promising Hellas Verona centre-back Marash Kumbulla. Mikel Arteta wants to bolster the back-line during the summer transfer window.
The report adds that Inter Milan, RB Leipzig and Everton are also keen on Albania international, as the defender is valued at €30m. It’s even added that all of these teams have made enquires for Marash.
Kumbulla has played 18 games for Hellas Verona in Serie A this campaign, the teenager could be an even more attractive option for top teams due to the fact that he’s also played in defensive midfield on a few occasions earlier in his career.
The London giants need to strengthen their back-line, amid looking slightly more steady during the Spanish manager’s early reign, Arsenal still aren’t convincing at the back and this has proved costly to them in recent years.
The London giants will be in more need of reinforcements at centre-back in the near future as experienced stars David Luiz and Sokratis are approaching the final years of their successful careers.
Arsenal signed Pablo Mari from Flamengo and Cedric Soares from Southampton during the winter transfer window. Gunners heavily linked with RB Leipzig centre-back Dayot Upamecano, Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot and Barcelona goalkeeper Neto.
